The Grosvenor Bar

Picture this Walk into this bar with 2 friends . My 2 friends went to the toilet whilst I went to bar to order 2 pints of beer and a red wine. The lady began pouring them . The bar was not busy at this point and I was the only one at the bar . Just as she was finishing pouring the drinks she says to me that we are not allowed to sit down and the bar is full so you have to stand up . I politely say to her that I will check with my 2 friends if that’s ok . She replied sternly that “I have already poured your drinks “! I said “ You should have told me this before you poured any drink “ Really, is this a money grab ?? It was uncomfortable as she made me feel this way . That was my experience of the Grosvenor tonight . Being told you can’t sit on any of the chairs after you pay and buy the drinks ??? Is that right ? You decide
