Omaha Gay Bars

Queer Nite was brought to life in 2018 to provide an alternative to the overly heteronormative spaces elsewhere in Omaha.

With a rotating lineup of DJ's that bring their own vibe, Queer Nite makes you feel like you're in New York. Trip-hop, bubblegum pop or queer futuristic radio - Queer Nite at The Sydney is a night out to remember. The venue also hosts weekly events including cabaret shows and drag queen performances, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or meet locals. 

The Sydney is located in the Benson district of Omaha, where you can find more inclusive and alternative venues.

Omaha Mining Company is Omaha's oldest gay bar. This cash-only dive bar on Leavenworth Street delivers affordable drinks and regular events like 'Lipsync Showdown'. It is open nightly (6PM-close, 5PM Sundays) and frequented by bears. The venue also features a secondary bar called 'The Mineshaft' located in the basement of Omaha Mining Company.
