The Big Gay Ice Cream company began as a seasonal van in 2009. It then grew and grew, spreading throughout New York and as far as Philadelphia. The Big Gay Ice Cream Shop is now a New York favorite. There are several Big Gay Ice Cream Shops in New York City.

This bookstore was opened by a group of activists in the 90s, along with a number of thrift stores. All the books are donated and all profits go to Housing Works' lifesaving services. The venue hosts many LGBT+ events.
There's also a cafe serving coffee, snacks and booze. It's a great place to read and chill.
