Trans Week: The Original Fantasia Fair

Trans Week, formerly known as Fantasia Fair, is Provincetown’s longest-running theme week and one of the best-known annual gatherings for the trans community.

First held in 1975, the event brings people to P-Town for a full week of social events, workshops, parties and opportunities to connect. The organisers describe it as part learning experience, part social gathering and part reunion, with many attendees spending the whole week presenting their gender as they wish. 

The event has become a major part of Provincetown’s autumn calendar, with the town’s welcoming atmosphere making it especially popular with first-time visitors as well as people who return year after year. 

For 2026, Trans Week takes place from October 18 to 25. Check the official event programme before travelling, as individual workshops, parties and social events vary throughout the week.
