Hi my fellow travelers, I just wanted to let you know we have been enthusiastically supporting the GCicuit parties in Bangkok for the past three years. This year we attended the second ‘Main Party’ (which was excellent) and we were excited to attend the “closing party” at anew venue - Centerpoint. We decided the THB500 (each way) taxi Fare together with the THB2900/person entry charge ‘must’ be worth it... Oh how we were wrong. We arrived at around 11pm to wait in a queue for 30-mins (normal). We then found the front entry covered in 1cm of water. (I thought that this was unfortunate, and they had a plumbing problem - but unfortunately, I was wrong). Upon entering - the entire dance floor was covered in black tarp and had 1-2cm of water all-over. Having been to Thailand, and during the Songkran Festival, this is expected - on Silom Rd, but after a day of water-fights (on Silom Road) we had no idea to expect this at the closing party. Long story short, the main event hall was not allowed to serve alcohol, so you could only go to the latrines area (port-o-potties) to buy a drink, and you could not escape the water falling from the ceiling at the crescendo of every hit mix, approximately every 30-minutes. What’s terrible is the fact that the organizers claim this was advertised - but we were completely unaware that we’d be drenched. So - in hindsight, I would never have attended this party knowing that I would be soaked from falling water, where there was no alcohol served in the main event hall, and I had I agreed to go - I would have worn a completely different outfit and brought a waterproof bag for my wallet and smart phone. Next year we will be more careful to choose a venue closer to the city, and a party that suits our needs.

.. went to two parties this year - The Wicked, opening party and boys' pool party. SK gCircuit parties are still THE best gay events in Thailand!! Great DJ lineups and lovely people attending!!!! Keep up the good works guys.. you've made us a VERY happy Song Kran indeed!!!
