Originally built in 1895, the hotel occupies a meticulously restored 19th-century building ina two year restoration project. With 25 stylish rooms, a rooftop terrace boasting panoramic views of the Bosphorus and historic peninsula, and vibrant local artwork, RUZ combines heritage with contemporary design.
The hotel also offers personalized service, with the owner keen to help guests discover Istanbul’s underground LGBTQ+ scene.
On our ground floor, the recently opened Red Balloon Restaurant, (https://theredballoon.com.tr) has been recognised by the Michelin Guide with Chef Ulas Durmaz, recipient of the Michelin Young Chef Award, who is now leading our culinary team.
