Gay Singapore

Singapore is a sovereign island city-state - that's basically a country! It's known for being one of the richest places on earth. The country's "business-friendly" atmosphere and light regulations make it a big draw for the rich and the would-be rich. It's especially popular as a vacation spot for wealthy Chinese travelers.

It's something of a haven for shopping with huge waterfront malls and entire blocks for souvenir shopping. And, like many cities in Asia, the street food is cheap and very good.

Though same-sex unions are not recognised in the country, Singapore still has a small but thriving gay scene. Most of it can be found in Chinatown, particularly on Neil Road, which is alive with back-to-back gay bars and clubs.
